Hi there!
Welcome to my website and thanks for clicking through....I'm glad I've managed to keep your interest so far. I've decided to do away with boring old company blurb and instead tell you a little more about us - Cheeky Wipes - who we are, why we are and what we do.
'Who we are'"> is easy. I'm Helen Blaber (nee Rankin) and this is my business. I'm 36 years old and I live in Seaford, East Sussex, in the UK. I got married in June 2005 to my lovely and very patient husband David and we've now got two little boys, Archie and Felix and new girl on the block, Jennie who was born in November.
I'm originally from Newtownards in Northern Ireland and moved to London in 2000, which is where I met my husband - an office romance, which came together at the Christmas party. Cliched, I know but true and six years later, three children and one wedding ceremony, here we are.
I've worked in Banking and Marketing for 15 years, but have been working for myself for the past two years with my Instant Photo Guest Book business. Cheeky Wipes<™ is my first venture into manufacturing...
'Why we are'"> is a bit more tricky. I've always used re-usable nappies, but hardly any of my friends do, for various reasons. Some of them don't have outdoor drying facilities, some just don't have enough time to handle the extra washing and some were put off by the up-front cost.
Following a spell in hospital with Felix when I had to use disposable wipes, I realised that I much preferred my washable ones - both from a texture and cost perspective. That got me thinking about wipes in general and I realised that there was no reason that my friends couldn't use the wipes that I used - if it was made really convenient for them. After all, who wouldn't want to save money and do their bit for the planet at the same time?
So I developed the Cheeky Wipes™ All-In-One kit...and after 6 months of development, I'm finally launching in September 2008....just in time for baby number 3 (lucky that I've got fantastic in-laws nearby, eh?)
'What we do' is also an easy one. Three reasons. One - I've got a great product that I'm really passionate about sharing and developing. Two - I like to be able to deliver a great customer experience. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true. My motto is ' How would I like to be treated?' and this is my standard - I'm a blooming demanding customer too. Three - I love working for myself and running my own business. It's challenging and scary but really worthwhile.
