What is BPA?

*Bisphenol A or BPA, is a chemical used to make plastics including materials that come into contact with food such as refillable drinks bottles and food storage containers. It's also used to make protective coatings and linings for food and drinks cans.
Minute amounts of BPA can transfer from packaging into food and drinks, but independent experts have advised that these levels of exposure are not considered to be harmful. Independent studies have shown that, even when consumed at high levels, BPA is rapidly absorbed, detoxified, and eliminated from humans.

The levels of BPA found in food from food contact materials are not a concern to health.  However, BPA is one of a large number of substances that have the potential to interact with our hormone systems, and some people claim that this means it is an 'endocrine disruptor' and that it could have effects at very low doses that are not seen at higher doses.   In recent years, many environmental groups have expressed concerns that the BPA contained in baby feeding bottles could ‘leach’ or leak out into a baby’s milk from the plastic when heated under certain conditions, or when bottles were cracked or scratched. This, they claimed, could result in health concerns for babies and children.

Obviously we want to do the best by our parents and babies. Our BPA free containers mean you will know for sure that NO BPA could potentially leach from your wipes container onto your wipes and therefore transferred to your babies skin!

Perfect

This box is great for anyone using the cloth pads if you prefer to soak them first like me and do it discreetly, I love that it isn't a clear tub and means I can use it for this without everyone in my household seeing what's inside. It's perfect and has made my change to cloth pads a lot easier thanks

Great box works well. I don't use the bag so good to be able a to buy the boxes separately without the full set.

Handy box for storing & soaking dirty wipes/CSP
Saturday, 18 March 2017  |

I love this bright pink mucky box - perfect for soaking my CSP after use and pre-wash.
Also good for dirty wipes if using cloth nappies.
Handy mesh bag insert so you can scoop the pads/wipes out (without needing to touch them if you're squeamish about bodily products) and bung in the wash.

Useful piece of kit
Sunday, 26 February 2017  |

I received the mucky box with mesh bag promptly and find it really useful. The way the mesh bag hooks in to the box means that all the wipes can easily be collected and chucked into the washing ,machine with little fuss. The box itself is well constructed with a professional finish and is not flimsy at all. The lid seals well meaning that any smells are sealed in too! I do not regret buying it at all.
The service I have received from Cheeky Wipes has been exceptional and has resulted in multiple orders from this happy customer.

Ferfect for the new Baby Girl
Sunday, 19 February 2017  |

Needed another clean wipes tub for our new baby girl as her little brother is still in nappies too. Excited when I see these are available in pink and simply couldn't resist.

I thought the normal wipes were soft but these are something else! Using on newborn skin without the oils and a million times easier than cotton wool.

Perfect fabric for little hands and faces

This is a handy little kit for weaning, especially if you're following baby-led approaches or if little one is a fan of finger foods. Microfibres are the perfect all round cloth for this, pick up the dirt - no matter how sticky - yet they're soft and gentle on baby's skin. The number of wipes I'm saving from landfil is just an added bonus!

Excellent product for post-natal mums

I found these to be a saviour in the weeks after having a baby. They were so much more comfortable than disposable pads and helped give me some much needed comfort. Would definitely recommend to other mums

I wish I had found out sooner !

I'm a forty something woman now , imagine the money and bit of the planet I could have saved if I had discovered cloth sanitary pads as a teenager ?! ( ok cheekywipes weren't invented then ).not to mention the Thrush angle - I've not had thrush ( a regular monthly visitor ) since I switched to cloth towels - makes sense when you think about it your pants don't give you thrush do they ? I've gone for the charcoal ones this time just because my old ones , I've had them for years now , are looking a bit grey - well I would have chucked my old greying pants by now ! They are still perfectly functional but this time if they start off grey then I won't have to think about it .
Snug fitting pants are the answer and as my thong days are gone it's not an issue - just think you will never have that horrible sticky pad sticking in the wrong place or yanking a hair out feeling again !.( ok just me is it ?)

Absolutely love cheeky wipes, can't believe I waited so long to take the plunge into reuseable wipes. Would highly recommend. Have since purchased extra boxes to use with my newborn and 1year old so we can have a set upstairs and down!

This has been amazing for me. I use it at night and the absorbency is amazing. Very very limited clean ups needed in terms of bedding etc on waking now. I'm surprised at how much less these smell than the chemical disposable pads, everything smells fresher. And this is amazingly comfortable, feels just like wearing underwear - no bulk or discomfort.

Cheeky wipes
Friday, 14 April 2017  |  Ross

Debated buying cheeky wipes for a while after chatting to friends who use them.

We love them!

We're much happier using wipes on hand, face and bums that we know have nothing nasty in them and we also love the smells!

I was a bit dubious, but felt bad about the amount of nappies and wipes in our bin.
I wish I had bought them sooner, although initially I felt the kit was expensive, it really does contain everything you need- even a travel pouch for when out and about. Really recommend.

Dubious customer turned convert!
Wednesday, 5 April 2017  |  Susan

I debated cloth sanitary towels for a long while before buying a starter set. I have particularly heavy periods and always use two night towels at a time, on my worst days I can still go through these in 2-3 hours. I really didn't expect these to be good enough to cope but having used cloth nappies and wipes with 4 children I wasn't too bothered about the cleaning side of trying them and hoped there had to be a better way than I was using currently. They arrived, conveniently on day 1 of my cycle and I decided there was no time like the present and they coped wonderfully but it was day 1 so I wondered if it was just luck, it wasn't. With one towel at a time I went longer between changes and was more comfortable. On day 3 I needed to go at short notice to stay with family and decided this wasnt the time to carry on the experiment and went back to the disposables. If I hadn't been sure before that these are right for me I was after that, they still leaked and still needed doubling up and were less comfortable than ever. As for cleaning the cloth towels I went with rinsing where I could but when out and about it wasn't an option, rinsing was a lot less gruesome than I'd expected and even the ones I didn't rinse came up perfectly white with a 30 degree wash using bold liquitabs and a small scoop of vanish. I'm going to try without the vanish next time but they currently look unused!

Brilliant product. Much nicer on our little girl's bottom than wipes and wash really well. We'll be buying more...
