Clear the freezer - update 1

So this is my update for Operation Clear the Freezer...

In case you missed last weeks thrilling instalment, I'm trying my utmost to clear out our freezer as we're hopefully going to move house some time in July.

Last week was a good week, we cleared out a fair bit with the added bonus of a bag of fruit salad used up which went into a spontaneous trifle on Saturday. 

This week will be a little more tricky as I'm away on a girls weekend with my Mum & Sister, so all the food left has to be the 'pop in the oven' variety.  It is well documented that my husband generally has his hands full with the kids, so easy meals are the way forward.

But I've found a couple of new recipes on the BBC good food website which I'm going to try out and will report back how they turned out (and how well received they were with the kids!) 

With that in mind, this weeks meal plan looks like:

Weds:      Homemade Pasta, Broccoli, anchovy (meant to be Monday meal, but visiting child meant it was chips and home-made pizza instead)
Thurs:     Chilli
Fri:         Pasta & Pesto     
Sat:        Battered Fish Portions & Chips
Sun:       Fillet Steak, new potatoes, green beans
Mon:      Thai Burgers & sweet potato wedges
Tues:     Spag Bol
Weds:     Salmon Burgers

And this is what I have left in the freezer before we start the week....

 

  • 2 x Pizza Sauce
  • onion gravy
  • 1 x small portion puttanesca sauce
  • 1 x homemade keema
  • 4 x falafel
  • 3 x large bags homemade chilli
  • 1 x large bag meatballs & rice
  • 2 x homemade family meatballs
  • 1 x bought pizza
  • 2 x fish in batter portions
Meat & Fish

 

  • 4  x burgers
  • 1 x white fish fillets
  • 750g beef mince
  • 800g veal mince
  • 400g lamb mince
  • 250g cooked prawns
  • 1 x bags raw prawns nbsp;
  • 8 x chicken breasts

     

  • 4 x salmon fillets
  • 2 x fillet steak
  • 4 x 440g pork mince
  • 2 x duck breast
  • 1 x whole chicken

Sundry

  • 1 1/2 bags cauliflower
  • frozen berries & raspberries
  • blueberries
  • 1 ½  x oven chips
  • homemade caramel icrcream
  • homemade coffee icecream
  • 2 bags green beans
  • ½ bag spinach
  • 1/2 bag peas
  • 1/2 bag mixed veg
  • 1/2 bag broccoli
  • basil
  • coriander
  • 1 x loaf bread

     

  • profiteroles
  • Pasta dough
  • 5 egg whites
  • 3 bags grated coconut
  • pastry
  • 5 tupperware containers random assorted homemade icecream

At Cheeky Wipes, we're used to talking bodily functions, whether that's nappy changing, adult bum wiping, periods, we're not prudish.
