Cheeky Mama Cloth Sanitary Pad Multipack from Cheeky Wipes.  Choose from packs of 5 or 10

What's the difference between these and the bamboo minky pads? The ultrapads are made of cotton which is a natural material rather than minky which is manmade. As such it tends to be cooler to wear. They are also thinner, so if you prefer a thinner more discreet pad or if you're buying for a teenager, these are perfect for you. They are also less likely to move around as the cotton fabric will stay in place better. The downside of being thinner is that they are less absorbent, so if your periods are on the heavy side, we'd recommend the bamboo minky instead.

Optional: Add some reusable intimate wipes or a double wetbag to keep your clean and dirty pads and wipes in or for using out and about

Minky pad packs contain 5 pads in different colours, cotton & organic cotton pad kits all pads will be the same design.

Care Instructions:  Wash at 20c or 30c, warm washing sets blood stains and can damage your pads.  Line dry, reshape whilst damp.

Cheeky Mama Cloth Sanitary Pads are an eco-friendly, healthier, more cost effective alternative to disposable pads. For those new to cloth sanitary pads (csp) the concept can be a little “Ew!” but to be honest using cloth as opposed to disposables is more comfortable. Because they are so much more absorbent, moisture is drawn into the pad, leaving you feeling fresher for longer.

Disposables have to contain lots of nasty toxic chemicals, dioxins and gels to enable them to be absorbent, which can lead to sensitive skin, irritation and thrush. Bamboo however, has a natural antibacterial quality and because it allows your skin to breath, can potentially reduce the risk of yeast infections and discomfort.

Of course it goes without saying that cloth pads will cost a fraction of what you would be spending on disposables each month which just end up sitting in landfill!

The Cheeky Mama pads measure 24cm x 7cm (main pad without wings) and have poppers allowing them to close underneath the gusset of your pants, which allows them to fold in on themselves for discreet carrying.

There are four layers, making them very absorbent without being at all bulky. Really!

  • Outside Waterproof Minkee PUL
  • Middle 2 layers microfibre
  • Top Layer bamboo

Why not add some of our reusable intimate wipes to your order and / or a wetbag for carrying clean and dirty pads / wipes? You can also buy the pads in packs of 5 or 10 , alternatively take a look at our Cheeky Mama Sanitary Pad kits and SAVE money!

Better than expected

I was looking for an environmentally friendly replacement for a daily pant liner and after reading reviews decided to opt for these. Plus points - they don't move and don't bunch up. They wash beautifully. They are very absorbent.
They are bulkier than a pant liner but then I'm old enough to remember Dr Whites sanitary towels so this feels like that. I would prefer a plan white and black version so they blend in with underwear a bit more. But these are great products and I would recommend them.

Impressed so far
Wednesday, 10 October 2018  |

Got these for one of my daughters as she wants to be more environmental. She has only used a couple of months so far but is impressed with their fit, comfort and actually working. No leaks.

Only comment is with only a couple of washes they have lost their newness very quickly and the fabric is a little bobbly. But I don't think this will make them work any less. Would recommend.

I ordered these to try as concerned about waste. They work well as everyday liners, coping with 'oop's moments! Wash beautifully in machine, and I am ordering more, so no more adding to landfill!

Excellent ultra pad
Friday, 21 September 2018  |

I use these on my heaviest days with period hands and are great as normally change around late morning then mid afternoon then just use pants by themselves for later part of the day. On lighter days I just use the period pants then are super, give me confidence in clothing choices and my choice of activities. Also use cheeky wipes make up remover pads (currently with my normal cleanser/toner etc). Cant fault the website always helpful, quick and fast delivery.

Why didn't I do this earlier!
Thursday, 2 November 2017  |

I moved to washable nappies and wipes for my daughter and as a supplement to toilet roll 3 years ago but why didn't I move to cloth san pads!
These are so comfy - you hardly know you're wearing them!! Unlike sticky disposable pads, they fit where you want them and can slip a little, if you didn't quite get it right.
Couple with a travel mucky bag and I'm free and comfortable.
No more leaks and sweaty, stained panties!!!

I wasn't sure if these would be good for sensitive bladder but was pleasantly surprised. Will be ordering more at some point

So Soft, absorbent and comfortable!
Monday, 10 July 2017  |

I bought 5 of these and 5 of the normal day pads. I have used them for one period so far and cannot believe I wanted so long to try them! They really are so comfortable! And as someone that has to wear two nights pads for the first couple of days, one of these was enough for around 6 hours first few days and no leaks! I'm so happy I have them, they are so soft and breathable. They are worth the money so buy a few and give them a go, you won't be disappointed!

Was worried these wouldn't be suitable/comfortable because I wear thongs but they were fine. Delighted!

Sturdy, great design

The boxes are well made and sturdy. Like the colour coding of the kits with the essential oils. Ordered the pink box as a variation for reusable sanitary products. Love the design feature of the hooks with the net so you donít need to get your hands in the soaking solution.

Great first impressions

I have wanted to try non disposables for a long time to cut the amount of throwaway plastic I am using. I have used these for the first time and am really pleasantly surprised...they are beautifully soft and they clean up really well with no staining so far (I purchased a mucky box to soak them in before washing) They do move about slightly but will try tighter fitting underwear as suggested in other reviews...no leakages so far as theyíre super absorbent. Will definitely try the thinner cotton ones for towards the end of my period.

Chuck away your Tena lights!
Thursday, 1 November 2018  |  Susan

As someone who wears a "just in case" incontinence pad, I was getting really tired of buying pads, wearing them and putting them into landfill, especially when 99% of the time I hadn't needed to wear one anyway.
I bought some of these initially to wear around the house, at least I thought I will be reducing the amount I use. Now I wear them everywhere!

I ordered three pairs and I'm going back for more...... I suffer with mehorragia and it usually looks like a horror movie even with two maternity pads but these little beauts kept everything in overnight no stress!
Definitely buying more.
My only criticisism is that they sit quite low..... I'd like them to come up slightly higher for all out Bridget Jones comfort!

A great way to reduce your plastic use.

I tried washable sanitary pads 15 years ago but found they just didnít keep me dry. These Cheekywipes pads are a whole different thing! I bought two to try and now Iíve ordered another ten; I wonít be going back to disposable pads. Theyíre comfortable, absorbent and donít slide around (as long as you follow the advice about the nap on the back). Highly recommended x

Loving it
Sunday, 7 October 2018  |  Penny

Iíve only had these wipes for a week but as a busy childminder they have impacted well in my setting. As you can imagine lots of runny noses and bum changes needed attending to and I love the feel and smell of these. Iíve also asked the children and they prefer them too. Much nicer than wet wipes. Iíve even used them to wipe down hard surfaces in the kitchen. Iíll definitely be carrying on.

Fantastic value

I have tried cloth pads on and off over the years and never really took to them. I mostly use a cup but sometimes like the security of having a pad too. These are so comfortable and stay in place really well (but snug fitting pants are a must!). I think they are terrific value and my order came super fast.

Great product!
Monday, 10 September 2018  |  Claire

We have been pleasantly surprised by how easy the switch has been and like that you can still use them out and about with the travel bags. You do need to be pretty disciplined and organised with keeping supplies fresh and would definitely suggest a second pack of wipes so you have plenty for wash rotation. We wash them on a 60 degree wash so they are totally clean and have no issue then using bum wipes for hands and face. Although there is the option to have white ones for hands and face and colours for the bum, comes down to personal preference, but they genuinely clean and fresh. We really started looking at this option because my youngest has really sore nappy rash from every wipe brand we've tried leading to us spending a small fortune on sudocream and other such products. Since using cloth wipes its been a miracle for his bum as its no longer red and sore. I love how usually 1 wipe does the job whereas you need to use some 5-6 packet wipes and we were going through them pack after pack with 2 boys! So bottom line buy them we wouldn't go back now having changed across.

Never looked back!!
Friday, 31 August 2018  |  Becky

I bought these around 18 months ago and they still look like new. I originally ran on night pads and liners which was fine. These cope with 'flooding' amazingly well, I have never had a leak. They haven't stained and they are not gross at all. I was sceptical to read that period pain can be reduced by switching from disposables but its true. My flow is a little lighter and doesn't last as long. I just chuck them in with the washing or with the nappies. I now have a few day pads for the last day, purely because they looked pretty and I'm slightly addicted. They are so soft and don't move around in my underwear even thought they're a shiney material. I use the liners every day just chucking them in the normal wash and they are still like new. Granted they're slightly more grey than white on top but I can deal with that. These are by far some of the cheapest CSP out there. I have tried slightly cheaper but these are made so much better. The quality is untouchable.
