Operation Clear the Freezer - update 415 July 2013 | Admin Again, we've enjoyed making our way through the freezer contents this week. The top 2 meals of the weeks were definitely Nigella's home-made chicken goujons & caesar salad and Jamie Oliver 30 minute PIzza. The chicken was gorgeous - I soaked it in yogurt rather than buttermilk as I had it to hand and they were gorgeous. Tasty, crispy and the salad went down a treat too. And the kids just LOVED the Jamie Oliver Pizza (as did OH). It's so easy to do, no nasty ingredients, just flour, water, home made tomato sauce and cheese. All good stuff. The kids also (surprisingly) loved the chicken and vegetable soup that I made from the leftovers of Sunday lunch, with some soup mix added. It was super tasty alongside some tiger bread and I polished my halo for making good use of my leftovers. Lastly, I used some of the frozen fruits to make a red fruit and custard cake - my new favourite cake and a variation on the rhubarb and custard cake recipe that I shared last week.
