Size:        30cm x 7 cm (approx.) - suitable for heavy days of your period, overnight use or mild incontinence.

Consists of 4 layers:

  • Leakproof printed cotton outer layer (laminated),
  • Two absorbent cotton/organic cotton layers,
  • Inner layer cotton / organic cotton
  • No fluorescence, bleaching, formaldehyde, dioxins or any harmful chemicals that cause rash, irritation and itching.

What's the difference between these and the bamboo minky pads? The ultrapads are made of cotton which is a natural material rather than minky which is manmade. As such it tends to be cooler to wear. They are also thinner, so if you prefer a thinner more discreet pad or if you're buying for a teenager, these are perfect for you. They are also less likely to move around as the cotton fabric will stay in place better. The downside of being thinner is that they are less absorbent, so if your periods are on the heavy side, we'd recommend the bamboo minky instead.

Please note that this listing is for a SINGLE pad. Buy 5 or 10 and Save Money! (discount shown in basket)

Care Instructions:  Wash at 20c or 30c, warm washing sets blood stains and can damage your pads.  Line dry, reshape whilst damp.

Cheeky Pants Cloth Sanitary Pads are an eco-friendly, healthier, more cost effective alternative to disposable pads. For those new to cloth sanitary pads (csp) the concept can be a little “Ew!” but to be honest using cloth as opposed to disposables is more comfortable. Because they are so much more absorbent, moisture is drawn into the pad, leaving you feeling fresher for longer.

Disposables have to contain lots of nasty toxic chemicals, dioxins and gels to enable them to be absorbent, which can lead to sensitive skin, irritation and thrush. Bamboo however, has a natural antibacterial quality and because it allows your skin to breath, can potentially reduce the risk of yeast infections and discomfort.

Of course it goes without saying that cloth pads will cost a fraction of what you would be spending on disposables each month which just end up sitting in landfill!  If you're new to all this (or just new to Cheeky Pants) then read our top tips on how to use Cheeky Pants Cloth Pads, plus how to care for your Cheeky Pants Cloth Pads - it couldn't be easier!

Optional: Add extra pads, some reusable intimate wipes or a mucky box to soak your dirty pads, alternatively take a look at our Cheeky Pants Sanitary Pad kits and SAVE money!

Bamboo / Bamboo Charcoal facing upwards

Insert the pad into your knickers with the bamboo or bamboo charcoal face upwards.  Close the poppers underneath the gusset of your knickers.

Tight Pants

Firstly, I usually try to wear fairly tight fitting pants.  If you usually keep your old, saggy. baggy pants which have really seen better days for that time of the month, time to invest in some new ones!  Tighter pants will help a cloth pad stay in place and avoid slippage.  Cotton knickers are best or cotton / lycra mix.

Turn around if you suffer from slippage

The soft outer Minky fabric has some grip - if it is inserted against the nap of the fabric.  If you notice that your pad is slipping, turn it around 180 degrees, front to back.

  • Rinse them in cold water when you change them and then soak in cold water until you are ready to wash them.
  • Wash at 20c or 30c on a longer cycle, warm washing sets blood stains and can damage your pads.
  • You can give them a squirt of stain spray and/or add a scoop of stain powder to the wash

  • No fabric softener!

  • Line dry, reshape whilst damp.
  • Do not tumble dry

  • No bleach

  • Wash dark colours separately.

  • Vegan friendly
  • Oekotex certified
  • Paraban free
  • SLS free

Love these wish I'd converted years ago

Perfect for a low-med flow.
Disposable pads I find are uncomfortable anyway, so even though I often 'remember' I'm wearing these it's no different from the plastic crap, and I'm helping be less consumable so very happy.
Good fit, not too thick, and stay in place.
First rinse in cold water removed all stains so so far so good

I bought the other two sizes and then decided to buy these for night time. They are very comfortable and absorbent, lasting all night long. Beautiful patterns too.

Brilliant!
Thursday, 13 August 2020  |

I have quite heavy periods and had used the minky pads before with no issues but I always figured that the cotton pads just wouldn't hold everything!
I decided to give them a go anyway as I wanted to try using pads with natural fibres.
I was super excited when they held up for my 6 hour shift at work on the heaviest day of my period!
Note: I did use a light flow tampon for an hour half way through my shift as I was afraid of leaks because I was bleeding really heavily. However, the tampon only lasted an hour and I took it out and these pads just kept on going!
Amazing! Have just brought some more now!
Thank you Cheeky Wipes!

They're okay
Wednesday, 22 July 2020  |

These didnt work for me personally as I am a very fidgety sleeper and the pad moved in the night meaning that i leaked, i also had a large patch where the pad didnt cover so i would love 6o see an extra popper to make them more secure. However these did work the last couple of nights of my period when I dont bleed as much so I think if you have lighter periods they would be perfect for you or if you have a heavier period during the day these coupld work

Nice soft material
Sunday, 19 July 2020  |

I love the material these are made of, it is very nice against the skin and soft feeling. The quality is excellent. The only thing I did not like is that the button and wings is at one end, after using this, and a different one from cheeky wipes, I have found I prefer the wings to be more central.

Fantastic

I love these pads! They have great absorbency, much better than disposable pads and yet they aren't as bulky as the Minky and bamboo pads that cheeky wipes also sell. They are also a lot cooler to wear than the Minky and bamboo pads.

Better than I imagined
Thursday, 9 April 2020  |

Tried these for the first time last month, wasnt disappointed at all. I have spent years using all the leading supermarkets brands which started to irritate my skin and break it down. I found the cotton cloth sanitary pads to be so absorbent and comfortable. I had no leakage and no smell and after having kids my period is very heavy. These are fantastic and very easy to wash and reuse. I would highly recommend to anyone.
